What do you do when you are angry? Many people have only one way to show anger and, for some, it tends toward the big, explosive and intimidating. I teach people to think in terms of a CONTINUUM of anger expression. On one end is containment--do nothing in the moment. At the other end is some kind of active and safe physical expression--like exercise. Between these two ends, there can be many variations. And I encourage expressing anger safely, which means using words and actions that do not hurt you or anyone else. Anger management training can help you learn ways to express your anger safely. Key Element #3: How to manage the way you think so you can manage the way you react.
